Ride to Kota Tinggi, Johor to Tandoori House
After the first service, the engine is noticeably more refined and less in vibration. Acceleration is much smoother, gone are the harshness of the brand new engine. I believe things are getting better with the engine.
Before the service, the engine was displaying 47.4 km/litre as the average fuel consumption. After the service and a refuel, I reseted the counter, and after more than 100 km, I am getting average of 44 km/litre. May be it was caused by my frequent in town short distance ride. Otherwise, I believe the engine oil is the culprit. I will continue to monitor.
I don't get to ride much, only to short distances. Today, I went for a ride to Kota Tinggi, Johor which is 40 km from home. The traffic and weather was great for riding. However, the wind wasn't so kind. I have to be on the extra alert, especially when overtaking large lorries. The 43 litre Givi box could be more aerodynamic. But, I still love the box. 2 large full face - no problem. I came back with lots of local crackers / snacks for the kids. Even my other half was surprise to see the snacks can be fitted in the box.
During the ride, the average fuel consumption did increase to nearly 46km/litre but after hard accelerations, the reading dropped to 44.xkm/litre.
I had no problem keeping up with the traffic during the journey. At few occasions, I was leading Y15, 135LC and few other kapchais. PCX is not slow guys.
Tandoori House at Kota Tinggi has been spotted by some who love foods. It is not easy to get nice Pakistanis foods in Johor Bahru. For the best, we need to travel to Kota Tinggi. Their chicken tandooris, poorees, nan breads and lamb curries are must try dishes not forgetting beriyani rice.
